A first release for the Lbs project from Lisa Butel and Brent Cross from Vancouver, B.C. Helispecter sees them moving toward more of an experimental direction that uses sound as substance, layered and manipulated through looping, FM synthesis, audio manipulation and samples.

This project was largely inspired by a performance on May 9, 2015 at the WEIRD CANADA / BIG JOY - NATIONAL DRONE DAY Festival shortly before departing on a trip to Iceland, Belgium and Berlin. The raw audio for this project was largely gathered from our rehearsals for the Drone Festival and then extra vocals were recorded and manipulated while traveling.

NOW Society's WESTERN FRONT Workshops have fuelled Lisa and Brent's improvisational tools and curiosities and the Lbs project is an outlet for these sounds.
